What is Bhai Dooj?
Bhai Dooj, also known as Bhai Tika and Bhau Beej, is a beautiful festival celebrating the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. Observed two days after Diwali, sisters apply tilak on their brother's forehead and pray for their long life.

Bhai Dooj celebrates the unconditional love between siblings. Legend says Yamuna applied tilak on Yama (the god of death), who blessed her that any brother receiving tilak on this day would be protected from fear.
